Pharmacological properties
Bacteriostatic antibiotic macrolide, binds reversibly to the 50S ribosomal subunit that disrupts the formation of peptide bonds between the molecules of amino acids and blocks the synthesis of proteins of microorganisms (does not affect the synthesis of nucleic acids). When used in high doses, depending on the type of agent may be bactericidal action.
Spectrum of activity includes Gram-positive (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp, Bacillus anthracis, Corinebacterium diphtheriae) and Gram (Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Haemophilus influenzae, Bordetella pertussis, Brucella spp., Legionella spp.) Microorganisms, as well as Mycoplasma spp., Chlamidia spp., Treponema spp., Rickettsia spp.

Erythromycin Ointment and its effect on human body
Erythromycin Ointment contains a macrolide antibiotic, erythromycin, and comes in aluminum tubes of 3, 7, 10, 15 and 30 g. At 1 g ointment contains 10 000 IU of erythromycin.
Erythromycin Ointment – a natural antibiotic from the macrolide group, the mechanism of action is based on the violation of the formation of protein in bacterial cells. In the usual therapeutic doses of erythromycin exerts bacteriostatic action (suspend the multiplication of microorganisms), and in high doses – a bactericidal effect, ie, kills bacteria, which displayed a great sensitivity. Erythromycin is also able to exert some anti-inflammatory effect.
Sensitivity to Erythromycin Ointment often exhibit various types of staphylococci and streptococci, chlamydia, mycoplasma, ureaplasma, causative agents of diphtheria, pertussis and some other microorganisms. Negative property Erythromycin Ointment is that it has developed rapidly addictive infectious agents, which requires a change of antibiotic.
All positive and negative properties of Erythromycin Ointment included the appointment of his appearance, in the form of ointment. Ointment very little is absorbed into the blood, and one that is absorbed, enters the tissue, then expanded in the liver and excreted in the feces and urine.
Contraindications
Individual sensitivity.
